About Toro Science
Toro Science is an innovator and incubator dedicated to building dual-use technologies that strengthen and support our warfighters while creating broad commercial value for the general population.
Veteran-founded and mission-driven, Toro leads all government-facing programs—from early R&D through pilot deployment—validating both product capabilities and market readiness alongside our defense partners. Once a technology reaches maturity, we launch wholly owned subsidiaries to scale these innovations into independent commercial ventures.
Our flagship initiative, Celeste, originated under a U.S. Air Force SBIR Phase I and has advanced through a Direct-to-Phase II award. Celeste converts standard 2D video (AI-generated or previously filmed) into 360° immersive environments for next-generation virtual training. These innovations not only redefine how the military prepares for real-world missions but also position Toro Science at the forefront of the global immersive and interactive media revolution.
Toro’s first commercial venture to extend Celeste’s impact into commercial markets is Modern Uprising Studios.
Where human creativity meets advanced technology.
Modern Uprising Studios harnesses the power of AI to tell stories, inspire emotion, and drive wellness. Through its colors & chords platform, the studio delivers AI-driven art and music therapy for health, education, and recovery.
At the same time, Modern Uprising is pioneering the next wave of immersive entertainment—from cinematic storytelling to live dome experiences. Its flagship initiative, the Frame Forward Festival, produced in partnership with Screenvision Media, celebrates AI-generated animation and showcases it across theaters, domes, and digital platforms worldwide.
Powered by Celeste, Modern Uprising Studios is reshaping how humans engage with content—bridging the worlds of wellness, advertising, and storytelling.
Celeste is Toro Science’s proprietary immersive rendering engine, designed to transform traditional 2D video—whether AI-generated or previously filmed—into monoscopic equirectangular 360° video for training, simulation, and entertainment.
Built under contract with the Department of the Air Force, Celeste enables scalable, high-fidelity virtual training that is low-cost, rapidly deployable, and adaptable to mission-specific environments.
Now evolving beyond headset delivery, the Celeste platform is expanding to support full-dome, CAVE, and wraparound display systems, with breakthroughs including:
- Full-Dome Fisheye Mesh Conversion
- Automated 8K–16K Upscaling Pipeline
- High-Resolution Rendering and Playback for Dome & Simulation Displays
Celeste 360° is more than a tool—it’s a universal engine for immersion, bridging defense, education, and entertainment through the power of adaptive visualization.
